Ship Repair

Naval vessels are an important investment for the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Forces (CF). Civilians have an important role to play in the repair, modification and refitting of these vessels and their equipment. Employees responsible for ship repair perform various tasks including the installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, repair, modification, quality control and sea trials of mechanical equipment, weapons, missiles and torpedoes as well as the propulsion systems of vessels.
